A Righteous Victory Indeed
We're extremely excited to announce that for the last 9 months we've been colluding with Victory Brewing Company to bring a 4th Righteous character to the streets. "Victorious B.I.G. - Beer Infused Gastronomy" is the result and it will be available on our website and select retailers starting Saturday, May 17th. We've employed Victory's infamous Storm King Imperial Stout to bring a sweet, peppery flavor to a jerky line-up that was previously dominated by the powerful spice overlords - Che-Potle Guevara and Habanero Escobar. After several months of rigorous underground experimenting and fine-tuning, the final recipe balances the rich sweetness of wort with the dark, espresso-like roasted notes of Storm King for a sweet and savory beef jerky that finishes with a burst of black pepper.
This project is particularly special to the RF team as we grew up in Downingtown, home of Victory Brewing, and have been die-hard fans of the craft brewery (like all D-Town natives) since they opened their doors in 1996. It wasn't until around 2007 that we were legally able to make the leap from their Root Beer to their all-star line-up of craft beers; and Storm King Imperial Stout immediately captured our hearts (and potentially, at 9.1% ABV, our livers as well). When the opportunity arose to work with Victory on a jerky - we were all in violent agreement "It has to be Storm King!"
Aside from our admiration for Victory's delicious beers, we also admire Victory's business philosophy. Similar to RF, Victory Brewing was founded by a team of best friends with a passion for flavor. Over the years, they transformed their homebrew recipes from a garage hobby into, unarguably, one of the nation's premier craft breweries - and even more impressive is that they've remained friends throughout the whole process. In addition, Victory Brewing is proactive in the community by supporting local businesses, sourcing local ingredients, and spearheading sustainability initiatives.
We truly believe we couldn't have found a more righteous partner for our of Beer Infused Gastronomy jerky and we've been adamant from the beginning on making this jerky live up to the expectations that accompany a product that bears the Victory name. We hope you enjoy...responsibly, of course.
