We're happy to announce that we've partnered with Philabundance to help the less fortunate and hungry of the Delaware Valley get a taste of Righteousness this Holiday Season. For every bag of jerky sold on our website from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas Day, we'll be donating a bag to Philabundance, who will make sure that this jerky makes it to a hungry individuals and families in the Great Philadelphia Area.
Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. They seek to drive hunger from their communities today and end hunger forever. There are three quarters of a million people in their service area who face hunger every day. Their stories are as diverse as the nine counties served by Philabundance: working families hit hard by the recession, women and children, seniors trying to make ends meet. The one thing they have in common is being part of a food system that desperately needs additional support. They provide food to approximately 90,000 people per week – of which 30% are children and 15% are senior citizens – through their network of nearly 400 member agencies including food cupboards, shelters, emergency kitchens and more. There is no quick fix, but by collaborating with fellow organizations, partners, donors and the public, they are working towards making nutritious food accessible to all. They are a proud member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of 200 food banks leading the fight against hunger in the United States.
